This run is best done with a shuttle or follow car. Park one car at the top in the Wellington High school lot or at the subway and the other at the Departure bay beach lot across from 7-11. This is a great flow run with the potential for higher speeds depending on skill level or tuck. There is one stop light at the Hammond bay intersection that is green in your favor unless a car is crossing. If you do not have the skill or are unprepared to run through the intersection, there is a flat run out and an easy pullout into Departure Bay elementary school parking lot or onto Sherwood Dr. Watch out for busses stopping and cars turning onto the road. If you choose to finish the run down to the beach, there is a nice right flow corner with a flat run out after the stop light. Classic Nanaimo bomb.
