Places to Skate > Bay St.

Length : 2.0 km
Difficulty : Expert. 60 – 85 km/hr
Hazards : 3. Medium traffic with one four way stop.

Not a bad hike but definitely better with a vehicle and one spotter for the four way stop. The start is flat before a left bend on Country Club Dr and Neyland Rd. You then take the right onto Bay St. which is a stop sign in your favour. Next is the four way stop you need to blow where Bay St crosses Neyland again. You will need your spotter here warning you or stopping traffic for you. If you do not have a spotter it is recommended that you start your run here. Then there is a short flat for a block or 2 followed by the steep fast Bay St. you will come to love. Watch out for cars turning onto the road and a slight seam in the pavement right at Fairbanks St. The end is a really long flat run out. Wave to Kelsey’s house as you pass Thomas St.
